Deborah Daring Series Finale and Graphic Novel

Surveys almost complete and planning for the next campaign has begun!

Hi everyone,

Thank you for responding so quickly to the Backerkit surveys and an extra thank you to everyone that purchased Add-ons. We have received responses from 88% of you, so that means we still need 12% of you to respond before Dec 15th. 

I have sent all the files to the printer and at this point they tell me I can expect to receive everything at my house before the end of December. So we're still on track to ship everything out to you by the first week of January!

Now that all the production tasks for the Deborah Daring Series Finale are complete, I've started working on another campaign for a great new series, called Hildebrand Valkyrie. It's the story of a headstrong female knight in 9th century England who reunites with her estranged missionary father and together they help defend her town against a Viking invasion. I've recruited top talent from around the world to bring you this epic tale! It will be illustrated by veteran Italian illustrator, Luca Casalanguida, and colored by rising Russian star, Natalia Nesterenko. This campaign will offer the first issue in the 3-part series along with a ton of other great rewards, including alternate covers and pinups from some of the industry's top names! The campaign launches on Kickstarter February 1-29, 2020.

Files sent to printer and surveys going out this weekend!

Hi Everyone,

Great News! I uploaded the print file for the graphic novel to the printer FTP site last night! Digital files for all the other rewards will be uploaded this weekend. Therefore, we are still on track to ship everything out by the  first weekend in January!

As mentioned in the last update, we will be using Backerkit to manage the surveys and Pre-Order store. That means you'll have one more chance to order some extra goodies, before your order gets shipped. Some of the cool Add-ons that will be available are: A variant cover to Deborah Daring 6, Crude Awakening #1, Peelers #1, Vigilante Comix 2019 Annual, Crude Awakening Trading Card set and custom ink sketches by Jae Korim. 

The Backerkit surveys will be sent out this weekend and the Add-ons will only be available until Dec 15th, so make sure to respond right away! One more thing to mention is that we will be offering priority delivery upgrades. Due to the extra weight of the hard cover graphic novels, we can only afford to ship the packages by regular delivery using Canada Post, which can take a long time to deliver packages outside of Canada. (Up to 1 month to the US and up to 2 months to Europe.) So in order to offer you a faster way to receive your packages, we're offering a $5 upgrade (plus an additional shipping charge) to send your shipments by Priority Delivery. A tracking # will be provided and shipping timeframes will be 5 business days within Canada, 7 business days within the US and 8 business days outside of North America. So if you're interested in this, make sure to look for the upgrade in the add-on section of the survey.

Hi Everyone,

Is it just me, or does it seem like the end of the year is rapidly approaching? This past year has FLOWN BY! Seems like Halloween is barely over and I'm already getting anxious about all the stuff I have to do before Christmas! I have to finish the pre-press preparation for all the graphic novel pages, finalize all the artwork for the other rewards, send it all off to the printer so they can ship it back to me before the Christmas holidays, so I can mail everything out before I have to go back to work in the new year! I was really starting to stress out... until I remembered a saying from good ol' Mr. Punkin Head and it made me feel better ;-)

He's absolutely right! When I thought about again, all the really hard work is already done. The creative crew here at Vigilante Comix has helped me produce an amazing graphic novel and thanks to all of you, we held an incredible campaign that raised more money than we had expected. So now all I have to do is take it to the finish line.  It's still going to be a sprint to the finish, but the marathon is almost over.

Before I sign off, I want to mention that I recently decided to use Backerkit to send out the surveys, which I'm hoping to do this week. Funds Have Been Transferred!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that Kickstarter has transferred the funds to my account. Yay! This will give me extra motivation to finish the lettering soon, as well as prepping all the stretch goal art. I'm aiming to have everything finished within a couple weeks so I can send it all to the printer by the first week of November. 

In the meantime, I will be sending the campaign surveys out this weekend and I'll also be launching my Pre-Order campaign this Sunday! As a special exclusive bonus for this campaign, I will be offering a 2019 Vigilante Comix Annual, featuring 5-page samples of 4 other books from our library: Crude Awakening, Hildebrand, Hardboiled and the newly developed Connor & Blythe. 2019 has been a big year for Vigilante Comix, but 2020 will be even BIGGER!
